What do missed calls cost you?
Enter your weekly calls, how many go unanswered, your close rate and your average job. You get an estimate of revenue lost each month, and what you spent on ads for calls nobody picked up.
Where the inputs come from
Calls per week
Your phone provider's call log or app. Use a normal week, not a holiday or storm week.
Share of calls missed
Unanswered plus voicemail, divided by total. If your system can't show it, count for one week on paper.
Close rate
Of new-customer calls you answer, how many book. Existing customers calling about an invoice don't count.
Ad cost per call
In Google Ads, divide cost by phone-call conversions for the same date range. If calls aren't tracked as conversions, that's the first thing to fix.
Not sure which calls come from your ads?
The HPM Google Ads audit checks whether calls are tracked, what each one costs and which searches trigger them. Same owner as this site.
Questions owners ask
How is lost revenue calculated?
Missed calls per month (calls per week × 52 ÷ 12 × missed share) × close rate × average job value. Example: 40 calls a week, 25% missed, 30% close rate and a $450 job is about 43 missed calls, 13 lost jobs and $5,850 a month.
What counts as a missed call?
Any call nobody answered live: rang out, went to voicemail, or the caller hung up on hold. Voicemails count because many callers don't wait for a callback.
Does the calculator save my numbers?
No. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
